Position Title: Inventory Reconciliation Specialist
Wage: $18.00/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm
We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Reconciliation Specialist to join our growing Inventory Operations team in Grimes, IA. In this role, you'll act as the connective tissue between our Buying, Warehouse, and Accounting teams—ensuring that what we order, receive, and pay for matches across systems and workflows. You’ll reconcile purchase orders, resolve discrepancies, manage costing data, and prepare month-end reports related to inventory ledger entries.Â
Your work will be key to driving clean, reliable inventory data across the business—fueling smarter forecasting, cleaner audits, and stronger vendor relationships. Inventory Reconciliation Specialist Responsibilities:
- Resolve discrepancies in purchase orders by comparing vendor documents, warehouse receipts, and ERP records
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in quantity, SKU, and cost
- Resolve discrepancies related to quantity, SKU and cost through investigation
- Serve as the daily point of contact for receipt and invoicing discrepancies between the Buying, Warehouse and Finance teams
- Track and support timely resolution of short ships, damages and credit memos
- Maintain dashboards and trackers for open PO issues, vendor escalations and root cause insights
- Prepare month-end reports on ledger entries related to inventory control and variances
- Maintain and coordinate updates to item costing as needed
- Ensure accurate and timely supplier payments by assigning G/L account numbers to transactions
- Verify inventory transactions post correctly and review exception reports (e.g., negative quantities)
- Maintain up-to-date records of all open purchase orders, including their estimated arrival dates
Requirements for Inventory Reconciliation Specialist:
- 2-4 years of experience in inventory operations, accounting support, supply chain or financial reconciliation
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Experience with NetSuite and comfort working across tools like Excel, Google Sheets
- Clear communicator who can bridge the language of operations, finance and buying
- Familiarity with inventory accounting principles, G/L coding, and cost variance tracking is a plus
- Experience with global warehouses, 3PLs, or consumer product workflows is a plus
