Position Title: Inventory/Forklift Operator
Wage: $19/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
QPS Employment Group is hiring an Inventory/Forklift Operator for a company in Edgerton, KS. In this fast-paced distribution environment, you’ll operate equipment, manage inventory with precision, and help ensure products move accurately from receiving to shipping. Inventory/Forklift Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operate power equipment safely while following all company policies and OSHA guidelines
- Use RF scanning equipment to accurately record inventory transactions and product movement
- Load, unload, move, and stage products in designated warehouse locations
- Perform routine inventory tasks including cycle counts, audits, and manual inventory checks
- Maintain accurate inventory levels by verifying product quantities and reporting discrepancies
- Assist with inbound receiving, put-away, and outbound order picking/shipping processes
- Utilize warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and equipment usage
- Support general warehouse operations including organizing stock and maintaining a clean work area
Inventory/Forklift Operator Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Ability to pass forklift certification (written and driving tests)
- Regular exposure to forklifts and motorized conveyors in a non-climate-controlled warehouse (approximately 95% of the time)
- Ability to work in moderate noise levels
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and clear communication required
- Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision for safe equipment operation and inventory handling
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
