Job Description
Position Title: General Laborer
Wage: $21.00 per hour
Shift: 2nd
Hours: 5:00pm-3:30pm (Mon-Thurs)
QPS Employment Group has a great General Laborer position available at a company in Saint Charles, MO. This is a 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire.
General Laborer Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Clean surfaces, remove rust, slag, or debris, and prepare metal components for welding.
- Assist in setting up welding equipment, positioning materials, and securing them with clamps or vises.
- Operate hand and power tools like grinders, cutting torches, and saws to prepare materials or finish welds.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area is crucial. This involves sweeping, vacuuming, and removing debris that could be hazardous.
- Assist in holding materials, feeding filler rod, or performing other tasks during the welding process.
