Job Description

Position Title: Forklift Operator

Wage: $20/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday

Drive efficiency and safety in a fast-paced warehouse environment by expertly operating reach trucks, double walkie riders, and stock pickers. With a strong focus on inventory control, equipment care, and teamwork, you’ll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly while meeting performance standards. Forklift Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operate power equipment safely, following all company and OSHA guidelines
- Successfully complete and maintain forklift certification (re-certification every 2 years)
- Use RF scanning equipment to record inventory transactions accurately
- Move products to and from designated locations while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
- Perform manual inventory counts when required to ensure transaction accuracy
- Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections, report any damage, and maintain a clean forklift
- Monitor RF equipment functionality and report issues to the supervisor
- Utilize warehouse software for equipment login and tracking
- Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned

Forklift Operator Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center
- Regular exposure to forklifts and motorized conveyors in a non-climate-controlled warehouse (95% of the time)
- Moderate noise levels are present
- Frequent standing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), reaching, and walking
- Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, and communicate clearly
- Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision
- Ability to pass written and driving tests for forklift certification
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to effectively communicate and respond to questions in a team environment
