Position Title: Fitter
Wage: $25.00 - $29.00/hour
Shift: 1st or 2nd
Hours: 6:00am – 2:00pm or 2:00pm – 10:00pm

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Fitter at a company in Milwaukee, WI. This is a potential to hire position that would start on 1st shift but move to 2nd shift later this year. Apply now!Â
Fitter Responsibilities:
- Position and secure work pieces using hoists, cranes, wire and banding machines or hand tools
- Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes
- Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools
- Lay out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler
- Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, or bolt straps, or bolt parts in position for welding or riveting
- Hammer, chip, and grind work pieces to cut, bend, and straighten metal
- Complete open table set-ups
- Assist with welding of weldments
