Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Fire Suppression Technician to join our life safety team. You will be responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, and repair of various fire protection systems—including kitchen hood suppression, fire extinguishers, and special hazard systems. Your primary mission is to ensure reliability and compliance with NFPA standards to protect lives and property.
Key Responsibilities
Inspections & Testing: Perform routine inspections on kitchen hood systems, fire extinguishers, and special hazard systems in accordance with NFPA 17, 17A, and 96.
Maintenance & Repair:Â Troubleshoot malfunctions, replace damaged components (nozzles, release mechanisms, control panels), and recharge agent cylinders as needed.
Compliance:Â Ensure all work meets local, state, and national fire codes.
Documentation:Â Accurately document all service activities, deficiency reports, and materials used through digital platformsÂ
Customer Service:Â Maintain professional relationships with clients, providing technical advice and system improvement recommendations.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in fire suppression or life safety services.
Certifications:
NICET, Level I or II certification in Special Hazards or Fire Alarm Systems (Preferred).
Technical Skills:Â Proficiency with hand and power tools, pipe threading machines, and electronic testing equipment.
