Position Title: Fabricator II
Wage: $20.00 per hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm
QPS Employment Group has a great Fabricator II opportunity at a company in Franksville, WI. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.
Fabricator II Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Read work orders and drawings to determine necessary materials, sizing and prepare parts as necessary.
- Fabricate raw materials by cutting, gluing, welding, sanding, routing, bending and rolling of materials.
- Measure and cut materials to size using power tools, shear, and brake press.
- Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, or smooth surfaces, seams, or joints of assembled parts using hand tools or portable power tools.
- Fit, align, organize, and prepare parts for the next operation.
- Count parts, materials and assist with inventory efforts.
- Use of various machinery and hand tools.
- Receive and stock raw materials.
- Occasional welding MIG/TIG as needed, this includes stud welding, and thread tap mounting holes.
- Read and follow shop drawings.
- Assist in other areas of the shop.
- Clean and organize the shop.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Fabricator II Requirements:
- Regularly required to talk or listen.
- Frequently is required to stand.
- Occasionally required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in fabrication is preferred.
- Experience with welding MIG/TIG is a plus but not required.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply. and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Shop experience/tool experience helpful.
