Compounder Responsibilities:
- Maintain strong communication with supervisor for daily activities
- Know and follow safety procedures related to Hazcom, ergonomics, safe lifting, PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) requirements, etc.
- Handle hot materials and transfer into various containers
- Fill out paperwork correctly and make notes for correct errors
- Follow the plan and prioritize materials movement using drum lift or loading equipment (electronic pallet jack or forklift stacker)
- Complete electronic material transactions with RF scanner
- Review daily transactions in NAV (ERP) for accuracy
- Review and complete all steps in a work order or recipe
- Weight and add ingredients to a batch
- Verify and label containers accurately - item number, lot number, date of expiration, etc.
- Complete flux pump tank cleaning and sanitizing following work instructions and record status in cleaning log.
- Follow first expiry and first out (FEFO) to use old inventory first
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for the compounding department
- Load materials into oven and record in a log
- Perform daily calibration and proper scale use
- Follow work instructions for tank cleaning and sanitizing
- Follow master cleaning schedule and document daily cleaning tasks
- Load and unload dishwasher; and follow work instructions for dishwasher
- Fill, maintain and operate floor scrubber
- Properly label drums by removing old labels, matching item and lot number, and placing label on drums
Requirements for Compounder:
- At least one year of experience in a similar environment
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Able to lift up to 75lbs
