Position Title: Chemist Operator – 3rd Shift
Wage: $22.00 - $30.00/hour
Shift: 3rd
Hours: 11:00pm – 7:30am

Chemist Operator Responsibilities:
- Document activities according to company policies and procedures
- Become familiar with FSMS (Food Safety Management System)
- Perform and manage batch chemistry operations in process reactors and distillation units by following detailed production records
- Perform chemical operations including charging, mixing, layer separations, distillations, filtration, and packaging
- Handles chemicals correctly utilizing necessary personal protective equipment and engineering controls to perform weighing, dispensing, charging, and packaging of hazardous and nonhazardous chemicals
- Monitor reaction progress and completion by submitting samples for analytical testing procedures, reviewing and interpreting results
- Draft and revise procedures and policies to improve and ensure compliance with cGMP
- Draft and review deviation and investigation reports as needed and able to identify root causes
- Perform general maintenance activities on process equipment and support equipment such as vacuum pumps and transfer pumps
- Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet movers, drum carts) to safely and properly transfer and store raw materials, supplies, and finished goods in the warehouse, storage rooms and production area
- Maintain inventory counts of production supply needs
Requirements for Chemist Operator:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related scientific field
- At least one year of experience/training in a chemical manufacturing setting preferred
- Good organization and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Manual dexterity sufficient to package various size units and label containers
- Able to work flexible schedule based on business needs

0-5yrs combined education/experience in Chemistry or related Scientific field. 1-2yrs experience/training in chemical manufacturing setting preferred.
