Position Title: Cheese Cutter
Wage: $19.88-$21.24 per hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 5:00am-3:00pm
Join a dynamic team dedicated to efficient packaging and sanitation processes within the food production industry. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop versatile skills in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment, with room for growth and cross-functionality. This is a 1st shift position located in Monroe, WI with the opportunity for hire.
Cheese Cutter Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operate cranes, including setup, hand controls, and movement of forms, ensuring proper loading and unloading while monitoring cables to prevent twisting and pinching (once trained and certified).
- Set up and use grinders and cutters, including carriage, harp, and basket, adhering to daily schedules and inserting products and forms correctly.
- Perform cheese recovery tasks by scraping the bottom of pallets and pans for brown process tubs.
- Follow color coding systems specific to cheese types used in production.
- Maintain strict adherence to GMPs, keep work areas clean, and follow all safety and PPE protocols.
- Accurately complete line-specific paperwork and recordkeeping.
- Assist team members and cover breaks as needed to support production needs.
Cheese Cutter Requirements:
- No prior experience required; training will be provided.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically strenuous activities, including standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, and squatting, in a cool, wet environment with moderate noise and chemicals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and maintain high personal hygiene standards.
- Strong listening and communication skills, with the ability to follow written SOPs and instructions.
- Flexibility to perform multiple roles within the team and prioritize safety and quality at all times.
