QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a CNC Programmer at a company in Libertyville, IL. This is a direct hire position for 1st shift. Apply today!
CNC Programmer Responsibilities:
- Read and understand blueprint designs
- Set up machinery for production
- Rework metal to create the blueprint design
- Measure and verify calculations prior to setting up the machinery
- Maintain clean and organized working environment
- Complete routine maintenance of their machinery
Requirements for CNC Programmer:
- 3-5 years of experience in CNC machine operation
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 – 3 years of related experience; or an associate degree and 5 years of progressively responsible related experience or a combination of both
- Broad knowledge of SolidWorks and Surfcam programming software
- Knowledge of Coreldraw and KCam7 (laser software) beneficial
- Understanding of “M” and “G” codes to specify the feed, speed, and cut of any toolpath for a CNCs
- High level of computer literacy, to include Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
- Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise
- Ability to work independently and closely follow direction
- Positive and professional attitude
- Ability to work with others
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software
