QPS is seeking a reliable and hands-on Production Lead to support daily manufacturing operations and guide production team members on the floor. This role serves as a key point of support for production staff, helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. This is a direct hire opportunity in Oconomowoc, WI.
Production Lead Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide day-to-day direction and support to production team members
- Assist in coordinating workflow to meet production schedules and deadlines
- Support training of new employees and reinforce standard work procedures
- Monitor product quality and escalate issues as needed
- Help ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures at all times
- Assist in troubleshooting basic production or equipment issues
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding production status and concerns
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment
- Assist with material handling, setup support, and line organization as needed
- Support continuous improvement efforts on the production floor
Production Lead Requirements:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Prior experience in a lead, senior operator, or key holder role preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Preferred injection molding or plastics manufacturing experience
- Preferred experience training or mentoring coworkers on the production floor
- Preferred familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S principles
