Position Title: Maintenance Technician
Wage: $30.00-$38.00/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations for a company in East Troy, WI. This position is responsible for performing preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience working in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to minimize equipment downtime while maintaining a safe and efficient workplace. This is a direct hire opportunity on 1st shift.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
- Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs in a timely manner to reduce production downtime
- Perform machine adjustments, equipment changeovers, and repairs as needed
- Maintain and troubleshoot conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, valves, and other industrial equipment
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and document completed work
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and continuous improvement projects
- Support production teams by responding quickly to equipment issues and maintenance requests
- Perform basic welding, fabrication, and machining repairs as needed
- Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies
- Follow all OSHA, safety, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and food manufacturing safety requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Experience with electrical troubleshooting, including motors, sensors, switches, and controls
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on industrial equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work around moving machinery and production equipment while following all safety procedures
- Preferred experience in food manufacturing or a sanitary production environment
- Preferred PLC troubleshooting experience
- Preferred welding and fabrication experience
- Preferred HVAC or refrigeration experience
- Preferred experience with conveyors, packaging equipment, mixers, pumps, or processing equipment
- Preferred knowledge of GMP and food safety standards
- Experience and skills with industrial equipment repair, preventive & predictive maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical troubleshooting, hydraulics & pneumatics, motor controls, conveyor systems, welding & fabrication, equipment installation, blueprint & schematic reading, lockout/tagout procedures, continuous improvement
