Position Title: Assistant Foreman
Wage: $25.00-$27.00/hour Based on experience
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7:00am-4:00pm
QPS is seeking an Assistant Foreman for a client located in Johnson Creek, WI. This is a newly created full-time opportunity with a well-established construction company specializing in the installation, sanding, finishing, and maintenance of wood and synthetic sports flooring. This hybrid role offers a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working hands-on while developing leadership skills. The Assistant Foreman will work closely with the Sales and Operations Manager to coordinate projects, support field crews, and ensure each project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Assistant Foreman Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work alongside field crews to complete sports flooring installation and maintenance projects
- Assist with coordinating and managing jobsite activities
- Help oversee jobsite preparation and ensure projects meet quality expectations
- Communicate with school maintenance departments and facility contacts
- Support project documentation, including completing reports, taking project photos, and uploading photos for company website/social media (if desired)
- Assist with additional responsibilities based on strengths and interests
- Provide leadership and support to crew members while maintaining a positive team environment
Assistant Foreman Requirements:
- Strong leadership qualities and willingness to take ownership
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to completing projects successfully
- Comfortable working with hands and performing physical tasks
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must pass drug screening; random testing may be required
- Preferred carpentry experience is a plus but not required
- Preferred construction, flooring, maintenance, or hands-on trade experience preferred
- Preferred experience leading or mentoring others is beneficial
Work environment and schedule:
- 40-45 hours per week during the offseason
- 50-60+ hours during peak summer months
- Travel to local schools and facilities; most projects return to the shop daily
- Some projects may require overnight travel or staying out of town until project completion
- Busy summer schedule due to school facility shutdowns and project timelines
