Position Title: Lead Maintenance Technician
Wage: $35-$40/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7am-3pm
QPS Employment Group is hiring a Lead Maintenance Technician for a company in Menomonee Falls, WI. This is a direct hire opportunity.
Lead Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead and support maintenance activities for CNC machines, manual machines, and facility equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Perform and oversee preventative and predictive maintenance programs
- Diagnose machine malfunctions and implement corrective actions
- Support installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment
- Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate ordering as needed
- Work with leadership to improve maintenance systems (PMs, TPM, CMMS)
- Oversee or coordinate outside contractors when required
- Ensure safety compliance and proper maintenance procedures
- Train and mentor maintenance technicians
Lead Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- 4-7+ years of maintenance experience in a machining or manufacturing environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical & electrical)
- Experience with CNC machines (mills, lathes, machining centers)
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic PLC systems preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Leadership or lead/mentor experience preferred
- Hands-on leadership (not just supervisory)
- Strong experience in a machining/CNC environment
- Reliability and ability to keep production running
- Preventative maintenance mindset vs. reactive repairs
