Blender Operator Responsibilities:
- Blend and package products
- Load and unload freeze dryers
- Weigh ingredients, bulks and excipients
- Clean rooms and equipment
- Assemble / disassemble mill
- Operate metal detector
- Perform master sanitation tasks associated with department
- Fill out room logs
- Make corrections on documentation, adhering to GDP
- Monitor and use HMI for basic processes
- Identify improvements and opportunities utilizing improvement processes, appropriate management of change processes and communication tools
- Perform sanitation duties based on established frequency and procedures
- Comply with plant safety rules and maintain work area
Requirements for Blender Operator:
- High School Diploma or GED; 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge and experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to stand greater than 2/3 of the time
- Ability to walk less than 1/2 of the time
- Ability to sit 1/3 of the time
- Ability to reach with hands and arms less than 1/3 of the time
- Ability to climb or balance less than 1/3 of the time
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl less than 1/3 of the time
- Ability to push or pull up to 50 pounds less than 1/3 of the time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds less than 1/3 of the time
