Job Description
Position Title: Batch Weigher/Mixer (Coatings)
Wage: $20-$22/hour
Shift: 2nd
Hours: 3:00pm-11:30pm Monday-Friday
We are seeking Mill/Mixer Operators to manufacture high-quality printing ink. Will train the right candidate to operate a Mill Machine and on TPM activities. This is an associate to hire opportunity in Edwardsville, KS.
Batch Weigher/Mixer (Coatings) Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Clean and maintain machine to TPM Standards
- Learn and apply TPM knowledge to daily activities
- Weigh-up batches: Follow process order of addition; shift auto and manual steps
- Mix batch: Discharge pigment and operate mixer safely; follow and adhere to all Mixer SOP's
- Hockmeyer mill operation: Run and maintain optimum OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) standards
- Create and maintain a database of all existing formulas, including processing times
- Canning
- Operate press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift
- Act as a QC liaison, provide ink samples, make ink adjustments, and record data
- Complete scheduled maintenance and troubleshoot procedures
- Help with repacks
Batch Weigher/Mixer (Coatings) Requirements:
- 3 months of work-related experience
- Demonstrated good math and basic computer skills
- Attention to detail
- Reliable to work assigned shift
- Flexible to work overtime as required
- Strong Autonomous Maintenance (AM) background
- Able to perform an active role with any multi-disciplinary teams
- Good attendance and punctuality
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds as required
