Backshop Worker Responsibilities:
- Connect air hose to pipes and drop in water to test for air leaks and defects in pipes
- Monitor gauges to ensure that pipes are able to hold the required pressure without leaking
- Visually inspect tubes for any defects
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks
- Clean warehouse as needed: sweep, mop, organize shelves, other duties as assigned
- Perform machine set up
- Print labels for products
- Using a forklift, reach truck, stand up forklift to move materials to and from the mills and shipping department once trained and certified by RathGibson
- Assemble cardboard or wood boxes using saws, staples, and nail guns
Requirements For Backshop Worker:
- Ability to lift 35 lbs. on occasional basis
- Must be able to stand and walk entire shift
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach frequently throughout the entire shift
- Must have mechanical aptitude
- Must have attention to detail
- Must have hand tool experience
