QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Mechanical Assembler at a company in Sheboygan Falls, WI. This is a potential to hire position for 1st/2nd shift. Apply now!
Mechanical Assembler Responsibilities:
- Reading and following entry-level blueprints, shop orders, specifications, and other instructions in order to build and assemble parts and equipment in an accurate and timely fashion
- Measuring parts accurately using scales, micrometers, and calipers
- Utilizing overhead crane and rigging procedures
- Operating material handling equipment
- Maintaining clean work area
- Preparing parts for painting
- Participate in cleaning of department and improvement projects
Requirements for Mechanical Assembler:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints/schematics
- Ability and knowledge of hand tools and machining tools (drill presses, band saws, and cut-off saws and grinders)
- Ability to work with others and independently
- Ability to navigate CAD documents preferred
- Knowledge of material handling equipment, pneumatics, electrical, and carpentry is a plus
- Ability to stand for 8-10 hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
