Position Title: Assembler
Wage: $18.47 per hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm
QPS Employment Group has a great Assembler position at a company in Saint Charles, MO. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.
Assembler Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assembles, packages and labels products.
- Operates equipment and tools as required.
- Maintains assembly jigs, hand tools and equipment in good working order.
- Has basic product knowledge. Know which types of wheels belong on specific products being assembled, model numbers, bearings, nuts, bolts, etc.
- Continuously produces at an acceptable level of productivity with some supervision.
- Arranges own assembly area for the efficient assembly of all products.
- Notifies Production Supervisor of tools in need of repair, low inventory of items used daily and poor quality of product being assembled.
- Produces quality finished goods with acceptable workmanship and few rejects.
- Maintains moderate product knowledge. Know which types of wheels belong on specific products being assembled, model numbers, bearings, nuts, bolts, etc.
- Consistently produces at an acceptable level of productivity with some supervision.
- Verifies and refers to Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Prints blueprints from engineering folders.
- Verifies and refers to Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Guides small groups of associates on special tasks.
- Substitutes as Lead when needed.
- Troubleshoots problems (Products, components, tools and overall quality of products being assembled.)
- Produces high quality finished goods with acceptable quality and minimal rejects.
- Has strong product knowledge. Knows what types of wheels belong on specific products being assembled, model numbers, bearings, nuts, bolts, etc.
- Consistently produces at an acceptable level of productivity with very little supervision.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Assembler Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing assembly experience preferred.
- Balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and reaches to work overhead.
- Walks or stands for a minimum of 8 hours with limited breaks.
- Pushes and pulls materials, fingers and grasps parts and components.
- Exerts up to 60 pounds of force frequently.
- Pays close visual acuity to perform inspections and operate machines.
- Tolerates extremes in weather and machine temperature.
