Assembly Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assemble electronic or mechanical products from blueprints using assembly fixtures and power bench tools
- Cut and crimp wires, form, connect and perform simple soldering in accordance with instructions
- Fit and align assemblies, recognize defective parts, inspect and test final assemblies on a variety of assembly operations
- Count and record parts from inventory with accuracy using basic math skills
- Communicate shortages, scrap and delays when applicable
- Operate small hand and power tools
- Perform cuts, crimps, connections and solder as required
- Assemble products to Work Order specifications
- Package product for shipment
- Use computer software to locate and print assembly drawings
Assembly Requirements:
- High school or general education (GED) required
- 2 years of mechanical or electrical assembly preferred
- Ability to complete standardized written documentation and correspondence
- Ability to perform basic electronic tasks using computer software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to use hand tools up to 80% of shift
- Ability to stand up to 100% of shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds up to 10% of shift
