Position Title: Assembler
Wage: $16/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 6am-4:30pm
QPS Employment Group is hiring an Assembler for a company in Waterford, WI. This is a contract to hire role.
Assembler Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assemble, test, and package quality products in the Valve, Manifold, Small Parts Assembly, and Packaging departments
- Perform a variety of assembly operations to assemble small and medium sized units involving a considerable amount of parts
- Recognize defective parts
- Work from drawings, specifications, and work instructions using required measuring instruments and gauging devices
- Perform final assemblies, inspect and test
- Perform fitting and aligning activities to ensure free action of movable parts and operating requirements
- Set-up and run machines in assembly departments
- Maintain a neat and orderly work environment following the 5S standards
Assembler Requirements:
- Regularly stand, sit, and use hands to handle or touch
- Frequently talk or hear and use foot/feet to operate machine/fixtures
- Occasionally walk and reach above shoulders
- Regularly lift and carry up to 10lbs
- Specific vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision and the ability to adjust focus
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing with mechanical assembly experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Ability to present an idea to a group
- Ability to read policies, procedures, picklists, routings, and work instructions
- Adhere to PPE requirements
