QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for an Accounts Payable Accountant at a company in Manitowoc, WI. This is a temporary position for 1st shift. Apply today!
Accounts Payable Accountant Responsibilities:
- Process invoices and post business transactions
- Verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
- Process weekly check, ACH, and virtual card payment run
- Resolve payables-related issues with internal and external stakeholders
- Reconcile GR-IR account to ensure all invoices are processed timely
- Maintain account ledgers and assisting in monthly closing
- Track and pay sales and use tax
- Perform vendor statement reconciliations
- Support internal and external audit requirements
- Process annual 1099
- File RE & PP returns
- Work with various stakeholders to improve AP process, controls & analysis
Requirements for Accounts Payable Accountant:
- Associate’s degree in accounting
- SAP experience preferred but not required
- OpenText experience preferred but not required
- Analytical skills
- Detail oriented and organized
- Computation skills
- Written and oral communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, prolong sit, or lift up to 10lb as needed
