Low Voltage Access Control & CCTV Installation Technician – Houston, TX
Join Next Level Technician as a hands-on Low Voltage Access Control & CCTV Installation Technician in Houston, Texas. Earn $22–$32/hr, enjoy weekly pay, benefits, and steady work with a national leader in low voltage staffing.
This is a hands-on installation and service position — NOT a security guard or security officer role. Candidates must have commercial low voltage installation experience.
Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot, service, and commission access control and CCTV systems
Pull, route, terminate, and test low voltage cabling
Install access control devices including card readers, door contacts, mag locks, electric strikes, and related hardware
Install, service, and troubleshoot CCTV cameras and surveillance systems
Read and interpret access control, CCTV, and low voltage blueprints
Perform terminations and basic system troubleshooting
Work safely on ladders and lifts and be comfortable working at heights
Support additional low voltage installations at commercial and industrial sites, including schools, hospitals, offices, and warehouses
Requirements:
2+ years of hands-on commercial low voltage installation experience
Experience installing access control and CCTV systems
Working knowledge of telecom and data networks
Ability to pull and terminate low voltage cabling
Experience with access control devices, CCTV cameras, and related hardware
Access control/CCTV programming or commissioning experience is a plus
Manufacturer certifications, BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus
Must have basic hand tools and PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, and steel-toe boots
Willingness to travel to job sites within the Houston area and throughout Texas as needed
