Position Title: Housekeeping Technician
Wage: $17.00 per hour
Shift: 3rd
Hours: 6:00pm-2:00am (Mon-Fri)
QPS Employment Group has a great Housekeeping Technician position available at a company in Wright City, MO. This is a 3rd shift position with the opportunity for hire.
Housekeeping Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Clean and sanitize breakrooms, including tables, countertops, sinks, microwaves, refrigerators, and trash receptacles.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms by replenishing supplies, sanitizing fixtures, mopping floors, and removing waste.
- Operate floor scrubber and other floor care equipment to clean and maintain facility flooring.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Monitor and restock janitorial and restroom supplies as needed.
- Clean windows, mirrors, doors, and other high-touch surfaces.
- Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to supervision.
- Follow all company safety procedures and chemical handling guidelines.
- Support scheduled deep cleaning projects in production areas, offices, hallways, and common spaces.
- Maintain janitorial equipment in clean and proper working conditions.
Housekeeping Technician Requirements:
- Previous janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
- Experience operating floor scrubbers or similar cleaning equipment preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety and cleaning chemical usage.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequently bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and reach while performing cleaning duties.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to push and pull cleaning carts, trash bins, and floor scrubber equipment throughout the facility.
- Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and work with approved cleaning chemicals daily.
- Must be able to work in environments with varying temperatures and cleaning odors.
