QPS Employment Group has a great Material Handler position available at a company in Waverly, NE. This is a 3rd shift position with the opportunity for hire.
Material Handler Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain supplies to the floor, using forklift and documenting supplies correctly. Operate machines as a backup operator.
- Reads and understands checklist and work order of job specifications to determine quality.
- Observes machine operation to detect workplace defects or machine malfunction-report findings to manager.
- Measures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
- Removes burrs, sharp edges, and flash from work piece.
- Stacks, Marks, Packs, and/or transport finished work pieces according to work orders.
- Maintains and cleans working environment.
- Assist in set-ups.
- Record production accurately on work schedules.
- Act as a back-up to Operators.
- Operate forklift only after customer training and certification.
Material Handler Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours.
- Be able to regularly lift and/or move 50 lbs. frequently throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Forklift experience desirable - will train.
- Knowledge of injection mold processes and molding equipment is a plus but not required.
- Good basic math skills.
- Regular attendance and reliable transportation.
