Cherry Picker Responsibilities:
- Operate cherry picker forklifts (order pickers) to retrieve products from elevated storage locations
- Safely maneuver forklifts in narrow aisles and high racking environments
- Perform accurate order picking and inventory replenishment
- Load, unload, and stage materials as needed
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety issues
- Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures at all times
- Use RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and general warehouse duties
Requirements for Cherry Picker:
- At least one to two years of recent cherry picker (order picker) forklift experience
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Experience working in a high-volume warehouse or distribution center
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work at heights up to 20-40 feet while using fall protection equipment
- Comfortable working in physically demanding environments
- Experience with additional equipment (reach truck, sit-down forklift, pallet jack) preferred
- Familiarity with RF scanners or warehouse systems is a plus
- Previous experience in picking/packing or inventory control preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse setting; may include varying temperatures depending on facility
