QPS Employment Group has a great Fab Kitter position available at a company in Saint Charles, MO. This is a 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire.
Fab Kitter Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Works from priority list provided by PIC Manager/GSC Director until trained to develop the list on their own.
- Determine kit size based on annual history.
- Create kit item numbers.
- Create locations in IQMS based on Kitting checklist.
- Create item numbers for carts in IQMS based on Kitting checklist.
- Configure “cart” (which can be a skid). Document where items will be placed on the cart and attach to document library in IQMS.
- Determine, document and install “max work order size” and “multiples of” into IQMS data.
- Print and maintain all labels associated with this process.
- Train all manufacturing Associates to follow the kitting process.
- Hold all Associates accountable to the kitting the process.
- Builds and maintains item id’s in IQMS.
- Serves as backup to engineering functions including building BOM’s from conception.
- Maintains BOM’s in IQMS by making edits presented from Engineering.
- Communicates with internal customers to guarantee that product is available in conjunction with the production schedule.
- Uses ERP system for direct material requirements, ensuring the right quantity of the correct material is in the right place when required and from the right area. o Works with Purchasing and Production management to establish and maintain manufacturing processes to meet customer requirements.
- Acts as a key member of the physical inventory team including preparation, counting and data entry of annual physical inventory.
- Communicates safety, quality and productivity expectations to associates and them follows up to inspect expectations periodically.
- Develops and maintains a system to train all associates on the procedures required to ensure success.
- Works with engineering to guarantee that NCC has proper documentation related to the kitting process.
- Manages department data and ensures required paperwork is 100% complete and dashboards are free of errors.
- Works extended hours before and after shift as needed.
- Adheres to company guidelines and support the Code of Conduct.
- Identifies and resolves department problems and seeks assistance when necessary.
- Coordinates operations between other departments to ensure downstream customer is satisfied.
- Maintains excellent attendance record.
- Maintains a safe work environment in department for compliance with OSHA and other company regulations.
- Keeps work area neat and clean and helps NCC maintain company 5S score.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Fab Kitter Requirements:
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- 5+ years’ experience within manufacturing.
- Must be able to use bar code readers, computer, and other electronic devices. o Must have high attention to detail, strong communication skills and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Shows initiative and the ability to begin and follow job through to completion with little supervision.
- Must be able to lead a team.
- Balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and reaches to work overhead.
- Walks or stands for a minimum of 8 hours with limited breaks or sit at a desk for a minimum of 8 hours per day, based on requirements for that day.
- Pushes and pulls materials, fingers and grasps parts and components.
- Exerts up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
- Pays close visual acuity to perform inspections and operate machines.
- Tolerates extremes in weather and machine temperature.
- Tolerates loud noise.
