Material Handler Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Move materials using a forklift and crane according to standard operating procedure, safety regulations, and practices
- Operate plate blaster
- Operate 10-ton overhead cranes
- Drive yard truck and trailer to move plates between buildings
- Complete required paperwork
Material Handler Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in overhead cranes
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a material handler
- Heavy manufacturing preferred
- Experienced with using at least 20-ton overhead crane and rigging is a must
- Will move, rotate, and flip large structural weldments
- Excellent safety is a must
- Regularly stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Valid driver's license
