Position Title: HP Indigo Press Operator
Wage: $18.00 per hour
Shift: 1st
QPS Employment Group is seeking a skilled HP Indigo Press Operator to join a great production team in Hazelwood, MO. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining HP Indigo digital presses to produce high-quality printed materials. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, digital press experience, and a commitment to quality, accuracy, and meeting production deadlines. This is a first-shift position with regular overtime and weekend work based on production demands.
HP Indigo Press Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operate HP Indigo digital presses (7900 series) according to job specifications.
- Review job tickets, artwork, and color requirements prior to production.
- Perform daily calibrations, color management, and press adjustments.
- Monitor output quality and make on-the-fly corrections as needed.
- Maintain consistent color, image quality, and registration across all jobs.
- Troubleshoot press issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on the press.
- Collaborate with prepress, finishing, and scheduling teams to meet deadlines.
- Document production details, maintenance logs, and quality checks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
HP Indigo Press Operator Requirements:
- Experience operating HP Indigo presses preferred (or similar digital printing equipment).
- Strong understanding of digital print workflows, RIP software, and color management.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
- Ability to lift 40–50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Availability for frequent overtime and weekend shifts is required.
- HP Indigo Certification(s) or training a plus.
- Experience in a commercial print or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge of print materials, substrates, and finishing processes preferred.
