QPS Employment Group is hiring a Machine Operator for a company in Oconomowoc, WI. This is a contract to hire role.
Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Determine operating procedures from work instructions/job routings and/or blueprints
- Operate press and understand and perform basic press controls; operate both continuous and single stroke operations
- Monitor machines and understand the mechanics of presses to identify malfunctions; notify set up operator or lead of any concerns
- Make sure machines are stocked with needed materials and perform periodic checks on output
- Meet quality expectations by regularly inspecting product to ensure customer specifications are met
- Perform basic measurements using quality measurement equipment
- Adhere to all safety standard and regulations, which includes keeping a clean work area and wearing all required personal protective equipment
- Document and report daily production results
- Perform other duties as requested
Machine Operator Requirements:
- High school education or equivalent and fluent in English, reading, and writing
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment a plus
- Strong industrial math skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs throughout shift
- Ability to stand for long periods of time throughout shift
- Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel throughout shift
- Ability to learn tasks, including use of measurement equipment
