Position Title: Galv Welder
Wage: $23.00 per hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm
QPS Employment Group has a great Galv Welder position available at a company in Saint Charles, MO. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.
Galv Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set up and operate welding equipment to hand weld products in a safe, efficient, and ergonomic manner.
- Adjust welders as needed to maintain part quality and minimize smoke or spatter.
- Produce consistent, high-quality welds with minimal rejects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, symbols, part numbers, tolerances, and other critical data.
- Work independently to complete work to print requirements.
- Manufacture products in fixtures or using tools such as weld tables, tape measures, protractors, and clamps when fixtures are not available.
- Professionally communicate production issues and seek clarification or resolution as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE (safety glasses, gloves, etc.).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Galv Welder Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- MIG welding experience required.
- Proficient in welding Galvanized steel, Carbon steel, and Stainless steel.
- Ability to read tape measures in fractions and decimals.
- Ability to interpret prints, symbols, and weld placements accurately.
- Strong math skills for determining dimensions.
- Ability to work independently and meet production standards.
